Moms wedding!

Dec. 6th 2008 my mom got married in Vegas! We left Logan Fri. at 5 and ended up in Mesquite NV at midnight. The next morning we loaded back in the car and drove to Vegas. My mom was staying at Hooters so we went there and I curled her hair and helped her get ready for her big day! Then we piled into a HUGE limo, it can hold 29 people. It was so cool, that was my first time ever riding in a limo it was awesome. We stopped at Circus Circus to pick up Sam's family then headed to the chapel. My grandma and I helped my mom get into her dress. We took a bunch of pictures, then got ready for the walk down the isle. Dan walked my grandma down the isle, then Sam's parents, his daughter Baylee, then my bro Colby walked Jade (Sam's daughter) and I down, last but not least the bride and her father! It turned out really good. After the ceremony the limo took us to hotel Rio, where we ate lunch at a buffet. I had crab it was delicous. After lunch we we went back to the Circus Circus and road a bunch of rides. Then Sun. we drove back to Logan, it was the longest, boring ride ever. I told Dan the next time we go on a long road trip were buying a portable DVD player, I've got to have something to entertain me! All in all it was a pretty good/short vacation!!

Our 3rd Anniversary!!

Yesterday the 3rd of December was our Anniversary! It has been the best 3 yrs of my life. I can't believe how much time has past and how quickly it has. I am so thankful to be married to this man. He makes me so happy and takes such good care of me. I cant see me spending the rest of my life with anyone other than him. We've had some struggles but those struggles have brought us closer together! I am so excited to experience life with him and continuing our future and family.
Dan got me 3 beautiful roses and took me out to Olive Garden for dinner. Then spent the rest of the night just being alone together! I went and had some professional pictures taken, just for him. That was my gift to him for the best 3 yrs and many more to come. Having these special occasions come around really make you stop and think and realize all your blessings. I am so very blessed and thankful for all that I have been given in this life! I know that I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband. Thank you for everything babe I LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Christmas Tree Hunting!!

It has become a family tradition to go up Black Pine Mtn. in Snowville and find our Christmas tree. I've done it with my family for a long time and now Dan and I have made it our family tradition! Every year we've been married we've gone and found our tree together! Its something we look forward to each year. We plan on keeping this a tradition in our family for a long time. The trees are so much smaller on the mountain, I swear they grow in the truck from Snowville to Logan. Last year we couldn't even use ours because it was too big around. This year we were a little more prepared and new how big we could have it, we even took a tape measure with us just to make sure we didn't get one too big! I'll post a picture of it when I get it all decorated!

Thanksgiving!

Turkey Day was so YUMMY and so much fun! We went to my grandma's on my Dad's side in Henefer! I got to spend the day with my cousins, aunts, uncle, dad, brother, and grandma! We dived into a delicious turkey feast around 2:30, after we settled down and played card games and WII until 9:15. I played my cousins husband in Boxing, on the WII, I beat him 3 TIMES!! The next day my arms and shoulders hurt so bad! It was so much to get to hang out with my family! I wish I could see them more!! I am so thankful for the holidays and the way they bring families together! We are so very blessed to have so many people that love and care about us! Thank you Grandma, Rhea, and Laura for an awesome turkey dinner! Thank you everyone for making our holidays so memorable! We love you all so very much!

TWILIGHT!!

Dan and I went with Steve and Nickole to TWILIGHT on Wed. 26th. I LOVED IT! The books are way better but I still loved it! I want to go see it again so bad! I was so glad we went to the 7 o'clock show cause when we got out there was a HUGE line waiting for the 9 o'clock, we just walked right in and got good seats. We went about 45 mins before it started, but I still don't think there was ever a line! I hope they make the rest of the books into movies!

House for SALE!

We put our house up for SALE on Saturday. We're not moving anywhere, we want to build another one and gain the equity we have in the house! With selling the house we'll be able to pay off some bills and begin growing our little family! (Thats a main reason for selling the house!) So if you know anyone moving to Logan and wants to buy a 2006 house let them or us know! Everyone asks me why would you wanna build again.I even told Dan when we built this house that I didnt want to build another house for awhile. There's just something about the building process and seeing each step turn into a house, that makes me excited to build a new one! Plus priorities change! We will miss this house but the next one will be even better! :)

S and R

Dan just joined the Cache County Search and Rescue. He was in the S&R when we were dating but injured his knee snowmobiling and had to quit. He always wanted to go back but never really did until ARS wanted him to get involved with the community, he knew what he wanted to do! He really seems to be enjoying it and eagar to be involved. Its been hard for me cause now I dont get to see him on Thursdays but I am very proud of him for choosing to volunteer for his community and helping others in need. Thank you for being a responsible and awesome man, husband, brother, and son! I love you and I am so grateful to have you as my husband!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

We had a Halloween party at our house this year. Dan and I dressed up as the 50's, the little girl I tend was my little "nice" bee. We had a pirate couple, a hippy girl, super E, a witch, and a Military man and woman! It was a BBQ party and everybody brought steaks YUMMY! We entertained ourselves most the night experimenting with Dry Ice. Dan and Steve would put their "Wedding" rings on the dry ice and it would make a sizzling noice, cutting the ice. We'll just say they tried alot of stuff with the Dry Ice. All dressed up we headed down to Lee's in the Unimog, we rented a movie and got a bunch of energy drinks! It was really fun to get together with our friends and enjoy the holiday! Thanks everyone for making it so much fun! We love you all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

It was Dan's birthday on Tuesday the 28th. He turned 25 yrs old. We had a little family party to celebrate his day. He prefers no frosting on his cake so I decided to make him a cake and we'd eat it hot with ice cream so thats what I did. It was all done baking so I got it out and started to put the candles in it, Dan started to lite the candles but they started to tip over, well the cake was a lil too HOT and it was melting the candles! Didn't really think that one through! :) So we put a candle on a reeses pb cup and sang to him! It was tons of fun and Dan had a good time thats all that matters, since it was his day! Happy Birthday Babe! I LOVE YOU!

Sleep Over!

Dan and I went to Kendra's house for family dinner on Sunday and when it was time for us to leave Kendra decided she wanted to come with us. So she asked Mom and Dad and they said yes. We packed her Tiger, Baby, PJ'S, Blanky, and a change of clothes. She was a talker the whole way home, she noticed everything and made comments on everything! She loved the Logan temple at night! She's use to taking naps at my house but not over night so I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. She did really good, once we got a pic of mom and dad, read her Jungle Book TWICE and Dan tickling her back. She fell right to sleep. She only woke up once and it was only for like 5 mins then she went right back to sleep. She didn't wake up until 9:40! It was tons of fun having her sleep over and we now know that she can handle sleeping over
night, for when her mommy has her baby sister or brother, she can come stay with us and have no problems with it! We are so thankful to be a part of Kendra's life and love spending time with her!

Pumpkin Carving!

On Friday we had Landon, Darci, Jada, and Brecka over for dinner and pumpkin carving! We ate Tin Foil dinners, cooked on brickets, which were delicious! It was so much fun playing in the "pumpkin guts" and collecting pumpkin seeds. We went pretty high tech this year, using kinda difficult designs. Dan was going to give up at one point but he keep cutting away! His is the spider & web! Mine is the girl scull! I didnt get a chance to get pics of the Day's pumpkins, their girls were pretty tired so they had to leave early! Landon carved his little girls names and Darci carved a witch! It was tons of fun! Thanx Day's for a fun evening!

On December 6th my mom is marry Sam Gorrell in Las Vegas! Congrats Mom and Sam! We're happy for you and wish you the best in all. They are living in Gooding Idaho, my mom works for Agri-Service in Twin Falls and Sam is a hay farmer. They've been dating for a little over a year and feel head over heels for each other from the first time they met. May you continue to find the love and happiness in your lives! It's been hard for me but I want you to know that I am happy for the both of you and I'm glad my mom has found someone that can and will make her happy! Congrats again!

Grass is Growing!

Hunting!

This Saturday was the opening for the elk hunt. Dan and I went to Henefer to go hunting with my dad! WELL I should say Dan went with my dad I chickened out, it was raining and I didn't want to get all soggy! :) So I hung out with my cousin and her 3 kids instead! It was fun to catch up! We don't get very much one-on-one time to just chit-chat so it was good! Dan has been asking me for weeks to go for a horse back ride, he got his ride on Saturday. He took my aunt/dad's horse hunting. He didnt mind getting wet and cold! That was a mistake, letting him ride the horse, cause the next day he was telling me he wanted a horse instead of a kid. Joking I hope! They only saw a couple cow elk, no bulls. But they had a good time, thats what counts! Hopefully the next time we go its not raining so that I get to go and enjoy the fun!
It's been a family tradition to go hunting for many many years. I have to say its not nearly as much fun now as it was when I was a kid. A lot of family things have changed making the experience a little different. It's a good time to get to spend time with my dad so I'm sure we'll continue going until he stops. Thinking of family traditions, makes me excited for when we grow our family and start making our own little traditions.

We went to Lagoon on Saturday to celebrate Kendra's birthday!! (Thats the little girl I tend!) She turned 2 on Monday the 22nd! We had a little party at my house for her with cake and ice cream, and PRESENTS on Monday but we wanted to do a little more for her! So we went and had TONS of fun at Lagoon! I didn't know that Kiddie Land had so many good rides for the kids! Kendra and her other cousins had a blast! I actually had a fun time there too, I dont like the crazy rides very much: no upside downs, fast drops, or crazy stuff! Having kids there to entertain and watch makes it a lot more fun! I can't imagine how fun it'll be watching my own kids! We didn't leave the park until it was closed, making us get home at midnight! But it was a lot of fun so it was worth it!

Kendra's #2 Birthday!

We had a little celebration at our house the night
of her birthday. For those who dont know this is
the little girl that I tend! Isnt she CUTE! She has
a very fun and bubbily personality! She loves
princesses; Cinderella is her favorite, babies; she
treats them as if it was a real baby throws them in
the air, holds them when they cry, and feeds them,
she loves to color too! Most of all she loves to be the
center of attention but thats what we love about her!
We had some family over for cake, ice cream, and
presents! She got some stuffed animals, sidewalk chalk,
baby bottles, and puzzles. She loved the icing on the cake
that was her favorite! We missed her last birthday so
it was so good and fun to be there for her #2! She's
growing up so fast. I can't believe she's already 2. We
love you so much Kendra! Thanks for being such a fun
and important girl in our lives. Its so much fun being
your (favorite!) Aunt, Uncle, and baby sitter.

GRASS, FINALLY!

On Friday we planted our GRASS! YEAH! I'm so excited that, that project is finished! Now we just have to keep it watered and watch it grow! The guy said we should be able to see some grass in two weeks and we should be able to mow it a couple times before snow comes! It seems like this project has taken us the longest to get finished, we've gone through so many ups and DOWNS with it, its such a relief to have it done.

John Carter

My uncle John died in a plane crash on the 24th of August. He was on a service mission in Guatemala, when the charter plane they were on crashed near Guatemala city. He was so excited to go! They were headed down there to build a new school. He will be very missed, he always had a smile on his face and was happy to see you! He leaves behind his wife and 3 kids: Ethan, Ashton, and Averie! I actually have a scar from him: I was making cookies and my grandma's house, I was pulling the cookies out of the oven and he decided to tickle my side. Natural reaction I jerked my arm in and burned my arm on the pan! Nothin real serious but I will always have something that reminds me of him! I want my family to know how much I care about them and how much they mean to me. It's ALOT!!! I am very blessed and I am so thankful for ALL of my blessings! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Labor Day Weekend!

We went BOATIN' on Saturday with Steve and Nickole! We didn't get there until 4 o'clock but it was still a blast. When we got in the boat and tried to start it we found that the battery wasn't even in the boat! :) Nickole's dad had takin it out and put it in the trailer so we had to wait for her mom to bring it down to us! When we finally got the boat in the water the wind started to blow really hard making the waves 3ft tall with white caps! It made it a very interesting ride! After getting a little "sea sick" we stopped the boat and Steve, Dan, and Braxton went swimmin. We decided to go to the beach and hang out there and let the waves calm down a bit! We wrote our names in the sand with a bucket and took a bunch of fun pictures! Around 6 o'clock the wind and the waves had settled down and it was finally wake boarding ready. If it was a compition I'd have to say Nickole won! I dont think there is any sport she's not good at! Complete jealousy! :) Braxton had a blast watching everyone wake board. He was so interested and concerned, especially when Dan went out. He would watch him the whole time and when Dan switched sides so did Brax! He's definately a big part of the family and brings much happiness and joy to us. Thanks S & N for a fun day!

Happy Birthday Tanya!

My Birthday! #22 (But forever 21!)
Dan took me to Bear Lake for my birthday. Dan and I stayed at the marina Sunday night so that we could get some "smooth" wake boarding time! We invited Trisa and Dick to come with us! We had so much fun and soaked up a lot of sun! I actually ventured out (with Trisa) on the knee board. I just like to ride in the boat, thats the best part! We spent all day on the lake, we even ate lunch out there. Thank you Dan, Trisa, and Dick for a fun birthday!

After Bear Lake we meet at our house with family and friends for cake and ice cream! YUMMY! Darci Day made a delicious chocolate cake with chocolate frosting! We had two choices of ice cream: mint chocolate chip and cookies n cream! And don't forget the presents! Thank you ALL for making my birthday a memorable one!
