Every year we go on a birthday ride for my dad! We went up Chalk Creek-East Canyon: Dan, my dad, Colby, Ethan, Steve, Nickole, Cody S., and I. It was sunny/party cloudy most the day, we all came home with sunburns so sunny enough. We had a blast! At one spot we stopped at called Double Hill, Colby was jumping and ended up flipping my dad's sled (picture shows the end result :) ). They were both fine, a little sore afterwards but good. It was awesome to watch, not sure my bro, nor my dad, thought it was that cool! I don't think I've ever seen a sled end up with its butt end stuck in the snow. Ethan's sled seized about 30 mins. into the ride so he and my dad rode double so we had to pull it out. It's crazy how much snow is still up there! It was an awesome day and an awesome way to celebrate a birthday!

We have been working on finishing our basement and Teydon has become quite the little helper, anything Dan does Teydon will go behind him and do the same thing. The other day we had plumbers here and the whole time Teyd thought it was dad down there and wanted to go help, we had a couple breakdowns when I wouldn't let him go down. He was so excited once they left and dad got home when he was able to go down. He thinks his daddy is pretty cool stuff! :) We were able to go to the park yesterday, we are so excited for warm sunny weather to be here so we can spend more time in the sun! Teydon is getting good mimicking words that we say they are not perfect but at least he is trying. Jump= ump, Puppy=bub, done= dunnn (every time the microwave beeps he'll say dunnn!) and boo=buub I've notice he puts a b at the end of a lot of his words. He'll also mimick actions that we do -typing on the computer, using the mouse, using tools, the remote, patty cake, make same noises, etc. I never can think of an example when I want one but he is so smart he'll do something and were like how did you know how to do that and its all from watching us. He has found his tongue he loves to stick it out! He loves buttons, candy, strawberries, grapes, and to be outside. When you get hurt and say OWE he laughs which makes you laugh, making everything all better! He's getting good at pointing to let us know what he wants, he'll come and grab your finger when he wants you to go somewhere with him. His favorite people are grandpa, Steve, grandma B, and dad. A little while ago when we were putting him to bed he wouldn't let me leave he kept holding onto my finger and would cry if I tried leaving so while Dan was rocking him in the chair I sat on the floor with my head against Teyds, he had his hand against my head holding it it was so precious. I love the little ways he expresses his love to us! He has the cutest personality we have a lot of fun with him and love him so much!!

Happy Easter!

Saturday morning we got up and tried to make it to the Newton Easter Egg Hunt but getting in the car at 8:48 we figured we were not going to make it by 9 so we went to Mack Parks instead. Teydon was not real sure what we were doing and I think he was distracted by all the other kids. He got a baby stuffed animal, subway cookie coupons and some candy. Figured Teyd was good with one hunt for the day. We came back and worked in the basement, helped our neighbors put up a swing set- which Teydon got to swing on after, then Dad and Teydon went to work checking on a job while I went Easter shopping. I had Dan drop me off at the mall, which you would think I would learn by now that when he says he'll only be 30-45 mins its really more like 3 hrs. I walked to Shopko and waited there forever- I didn't really feel like caring a basketball hoop everywhere. I found Teydon a suit but they didnt have any shoes so we spent the next 45 min trying to find some shoes finally Smith's Marketplace had some- their a little big but he'll be able to grow into them. I have learned my lesson here too not to procrastinate- makes for a long night. Easter Sunday we woke up and showed Teyd what the Easter Bunny brought-pretty sure he got super spoiled! After church we went to my dads for lunch; ham and potatoes DELICIOUS! After we hung out there for awhile we went to Dan's moms for an easter egg hunt and dinner. I love when we got to hang out with our families I am so grateful to have them in my life. We are really lucky cause we both love our in laws so there are no issues there. I feel like I didn't ponder about my savior as much as I wanted too but having a 14 month old kept me pretty occupied. Now is my time to think of him and record my feelings. I am also grateful for Christ and his sacrifices for me so that I could be forgiven of my sins and for conquering death so that I may live again with my heavenly father! I am grateful for the holidays when we get to celebrate Christ and his life! I am so excited for Teydon to get bigger so that I can teach him about our Savior and him be able to understand and have the patience :)! I am so grateful for the example Christ is to me. I want to learn more about the Saviors life and his teachings, I don't know them as well as I'd like to. My life is so perfect I couldn't be happier!

My little CLIMBER!

Teydon has turned into a little climber. If he can figure out to climb up it he does or tries really hard too. Kitchen drawer, boxes, mini TV, toy dump truck, 5 gal water jug, dutch oven, walker, pile of foam pads, car garage (toy, which tips over every time :) ), bar stool, stroller, entertainment center. I'm pretty sure were going to have our hands full with our little climber. Some other Teydon updates: Whenever he finds a towel he loves to clean everything with it. He loves to play in the garage-which can be a good babysitter if I need a few min. to finish a project. He gets a little dirty but which boy doesn't :)! He'll bring me shoes and potatoes from the garage. Loves buttons! When your holding him and he wants your attention he turns and puts his face in yours and looks at you like hello I'm right here can't you tell I need your attention :) SO CUTE! The other day I was vacuuming and had to stop to put something away he yells at me, then walks back over to the vacuum. Telling me "Mom your not finished vacuuming get back here and finish." He has the cutest personality I LOVE IT! He has started to not like loud noise and has become scared of the vacuum, puppies, snowmobile. Its weird cause he use to LOVE everything is now scared of. He'll walk sideways as far away from it as he can :). Has decided he is a big boy and can do everything by himself, especially feeding himself if we can't get him to eat it we let him do it and he'll eat it. He loves chocolate milk, french fries, GRAPES, strawberries, and pb&j's. He is doing really good with walking and climbing up and down the stairs. He doesn't say anything more I try but nothing else yet. He did say nine ONCE :). He does really good with signing more. He loves to carry around my eyeliner, which is not so good cause he looses them. He'll also carry around my 3lb weights, I just worry about him dropping them on his toes. He does not like to be told no and has learned how to throw fits, which are not so fun.

He had hives for about a week, we think it was from his antibiotics. He hadn't eaten anything new and my sister in-law said the same thing happened to her daughter after she had been on the antibiotic for the whole time then got them. Which was the same thing that happened to Teyd, he had 2 days left. I felt so bad for the little guy, his belly button got so swollen it was light blue. They didn't seem to bother him, he was just as happy as if he didn't have them. I called his Dr. and they just said to watch them and make sure they don't get worse and to use benadryl. He hasn't had them since so it had to have been the medicine.

We've been working on finishing the basement so thats where Teydon and daddy spend most evenings. I am so excited for it to be finished it will be so nice! It's gonna take us awhile, a little bit at a time but it'll be worth it. Teydon has to help so that doesn't help us finishing any faster :)! I have to go rescue him when dad uses too noisy of a tool, he doesn't like it.

We are just enjoying life to its fullest. We love being parents and love Teydon so so so much. We are so grateful to be parents to such an adorable little boy! He definitely tries my patience but I still love him. :) I love the snow but part of me is ready for Spring so we can spend some time outside. It'll be fun with Teyd being able to walk and play. There are times that I miss my little baby but I am really enjoying his personality and watching him grow and learn.

Ward Temple Night!

I am so thankful that our ward has a Ward Temple Night because it gets us to the temple every month. We went last night (Feb. 9th) I love how peaceful and quiet the temple is. I love that your can feel the spirit so strongly there! Especially in the Celestial room, the spirit is so so strong I didn't want to leave. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life, I am so thankful that I changed my life for the better. I am grateful for that boyfriend that brought me back to the gospel. I don't know what direction my life would have gone in if it wouldn't have been for Jared and his family been great examples for me. I know that he was sent to my life at a certain time, for a certain reason and that reason being to bring me back to the gospel. I love having the gospel be a guidance and strength in my life. I love the feelings that come from following Christ. I know that our lives can be so much better by following Christ. I am so blessed and I know that I receive these blessings from obeying God's commandments and doing all that he asks of me. I am grateful for the blessing of an eternal family and so thankful that Dan and I chose to begin our lives together in the temple. I am grateful that we will be raising our children in the gospel and hope and pray that they will have a relationship with their Heavenly Father and keep the gospel in their lives.

They have this picture in the Logan Temple and as I was waiting for Dan to get the car I was looking at this picture. It got me thinking about how much Christ suffered for me, the love that he has for me that he would go through so much pain and suffering so that I could be forgiven of my sins and return to live with my Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for all that Christ did for me. He sacrificed so much for me it made me think that the trials and things they ask of me don't come anywhere close to what he went through for me. I hope that is something I always remember. When trials or a calling come to me I want to remember that these things are little and simple compared to what he went through and to accept and face these things with knowing that Christ is on my side and always there to help me. There is nothing to hard to handle when I turn to my father in heaven for help and guidance.

I know people who have made wrong choices and are drawn away from the gospel, it makes me so sad to know the blessings and happiness that they are missing out on. The worldly things seem so much more important but to me I'd much rather have a boring, clean life and receive the blessings now. Worldly things can only keep you happy for so long. The sacrifices are so much more worth it. I know that I am not perfect and that there are things that I could do so much better but thats why we were put here to be tested, to grow spiritually, and to learn.

I wish I knew and understood the scriptures better and I know there is only one way to do it, it is to read them. I'm making a goal TODAY to take the time and STUDY the scriptures more. I know that I will be blessed in many ways for doing this, the most important blessings are understanding the gospel better and growing my relationship closer to Heavenly Father and Christ. I know that this gospel is true, Christ is our savior, and that by obeying the commandments, following Christ is the only way to receive the blessings that are in store for us and to be TRUELY happy. I love this gospel and hold close to my heart.

HELLO?!?

My mom came down over the weekend to celebrate Teydon's Birthday! So he kinda got 2 b-day parties. He almost had just as many presents. He got a car garage, books, an outfit, and a tractor phone! He is one spoiled little boy! He loves his grandma something about grandparents he sure does LOVE them! Maybe I wanna be a grandma instead of a parent, they seem to like them more :)! But I do love that he loves them so much and I know they LOVE it too. Especially my mom where she doesn't get to see him very often, to have him greet her with the biggest smile and so so excited! We had fun having her here with us, we just wish she didn't live so far away. She's my shoppin buddy! One downfall thou Teydon had the WORST sleeping night EVER Friday night, hopefully its not a reoccurring thing when grandma comes to visit :)! He only slept for like 40 mins then was off and on crying until 4:15am. He has a cold (stuffy nose, cough) so I'm sure it was that, that was keeping him awake. So we pretty much had a lazy, tired day Sat. We didn't get ready for the day until 4 in the afternoon. Its a good thing we love him so much!

We went to my dad's on Sunday to watch the Super Bowl Packers vs. Steelers. It was a long game it seemed like, but still fun to watch the commercials. The Packers won! Teydon will point at the TV and yell at it, wonder where he learned that (Grandpa!). It was funny the other day we were in Sam's club and they had football playing on their TVs and Teydon wanted to watch it, turned his head to watch as we walked away, another thing he learned from grandpa: to like football!

1 yr Check up!

Teyd had his dr. appt. Had to get 5 shots, 2 in each leg and 1 flu shot in the arm :(. Dan had to work so it was just me, it was so sad.

Teydon's Stats: 19 lbs 4.5 oz-10% YA!, 29 inches-50%, head measurement 19 in-93%.

He is growing good and getting pretty independent. He has decided that he is too big for a bottle I can get him to drink one in the mornings but thats it. He decided this about a week and a half before he turned one, we figured that was close enough to 1 to start him on cows milk. I wasn't prepared for him to quit the bottle now I have to come up with things for him to eat and things that he will eat. He started walking Jan. 7th and is doing really good with it, he'll just start walking down the hall and when we ask where he's going he turns around smiles and continues walking. Whenever you say clap or patty cake or he hears applause on the TV he'll drop what he has and CLAPS. Pats his head when you say "Oh no" and smiles when you do it back but say "think, think, think" instead. Has started to blow kisses, SUPER CUTE! He'll say mom, dad but not on command but will say HAB (hot) when you say it. He also says YUCK, I think its mainly making the same noise but I count it! He'll give you five! He LOVES to climb onto things, especially my cricut box that is under the piano he climbs up it and plays the piano. I think we're going to have our hands full and hopefully, hopefully no broken arms. He loves you to chase him but not catch him. He'll give hugs/loves! Hates it when you take him away from anything he's playing with or tell him no and take him away from what he's not supposed to have. When he gets mad he'll throw a fit while walking and crying, its so cute or he'll just sit down and throw a fit. He thinks you'll feel bad if he tips his head back while he cries, which is also super cute! Absolutely loves his grandpa, wants nothing to do with anyone else when he's around. Loves computers and cell phones! Loves to be in dads garage! Hates for anyone to leave. He has the cutest personality, laugh, smile, and chunky legs. I love being his mom!! Hope I have remembered everything that I want to record, I want to remember everything about every little stage he goes through!
