Teydon loves being a big brother and has adjusted very well! He always wants to snuggle, hold, and kiss Boden. He is very patient when I need to take care of Boden, I couldn't ask for better children! Except for a better listening 3 yr old but don't think that is possible. Boden is sleeping pretty good at night, wakes up every 4-6 hours to eat. He was congested for the first 3 weeks of his life so neither him nor I got a sound nights rest but we're surviving. He is doing much better now, just if we can get him to stop squirming and grunting I would be getting much more sleep. We love our little Bo so much and are so grateful for him!!!
While I was pregnant and maybe complaining a little, I would ask other moms why do we do this again and again. They would say over time we forget how hard and uncomfortable it is, so we do it again. And I swore I was making mental impressions so that I would never forget and never get pregnant again but....... as soon as I held my precious baby in my arms and snuggled and kissed him I had already forgotten! I LOVE having a newborn! I was nervous about having a baby again but all of those have gone away too. I know the answer to my question we do this because a newborn baby is so precious and sweet and having kids is the greatest accomplishment in my life. Its hard to discribe the feelings of how much I love having a new baby, you forget how precious they are and that should be the last thing to be forgetting. I love how dependant he is on me and how much he needs me. Teydon is so independant and would rather be with dad or grandparents that it feels good to be needed again. Now to figure out how to make time freeze so that I can enjoy my baby and my 3 year old FOREVER, life is perfect!!

Tony Grove Walk
We went on a walk around Tony Grove Lake. It was so beautiful, everything was so green, and the flowers we so pretty. Teydon enjoyed finding sticks and hitting the weeds with them. Boden was very good and just enjoyed being carried outside. We even saw a moose, it was across the lake so in the picture you can barely see him. Love spending time with our little family!

4th of July!
My 4th of July boys!
We watched the fireworks this year with Brent's family (newest NewMyer brother in-law), by the hospital. They had their own firework show before Logans. Teydon loved running around and playing with all the other kids, he wouldnt settle down and just watch the fireworks, only long enough for a picture. Boden slept through the whole thing in grandma Susan's arms. It was pretty low key, with a 9 day old baby.
We went to the Cruise-In that weekend for a little while, Teydons favorite cars were the big monster trucks. Boden met my cousin and her husband. After, we went to dinner for Brenda's birthday at Firehouse.

BIRTH STORY
June 24 2013: We called the hospital at 5am, were told they were full and would get us in as soon as they could after waiting until 4 hrs without getting a call back I called them, which they said they were just about to call me. We were told to come in at 10. We checked in at 10, pitocin started at 11 and was dilated to a 3. Contractions started soon after pitocin was. 3 hours later still dilated at a 3, are you kidding me what are all these contractions doing, just causing me uncomfort, come on! Finally got water broken at 4:20, dilated to a 5, contractions really started to happen and they were strong!! Had enough of those epidural 35 mins later at 4:55, ah thats better, that was rough. The next 2 hrs fly by, fast! Teydon and my mom came to visit, Teyd didnt want much to do with me with all my IV'S and hospital gown, I think I scared him a little, he would only briefly touch me or hug me then wanted to go play, explore the hospital. Dan took him to the bathroom around 6:15 so just mom and I hanging out, the babies heart beat left on the monitor so they came in to have me switch sides and readjust the monitor. We had been playing hide and seek with the baby all day, he kept moving away from the monitor, didnt like us in his space very much. I didnt think too much about them adjusting it, been doing it all day. It was shift change with the nurses at the same time so they were going over everything. The nurse that had been with me all day mentioned how low she had to put the monitor but still I didnt think anything of it. At 6:25 She checked me and told the new nurse that I was complete and a 2+. Wait what am I dilated to? She repeats your at a 10 and the baby is 2+, meaning he's ready to come out. They start wheeling in the carts and say Dr. Blackett is just finishing up with surgery, she'll be here in 5 min. Wait she doesnt come until the baby is ready to be delevered, whats going on here?!!?? As they are wheeling in the carts Dan and Teydon return and Dan asks whats going on, "We're gonna have a baby, im dilated to a 10 and he's a 2+!" We totally thought it would be 11 at night before we would be doing this, where I was dilating so slow and only at a 5 at 4. "Mom its probably a good time to take Teyd to dinner." As she is gathering him up, theyve brought in the cart with the scissors and clamps and stuff. Teyd is a little panicky cause all this commotion has happened in 5 mins. As they are leaving Teydon tells the nurses and the Dr. "Dont hurt my mom!" And as he passes the scissor table, tells the Dr. "Dont use those on my mom!" I am totally numb from the epidural so tell the Dr. I hope I can do this, with Teydon it had worn off so I was able to feel the pressure of contractions and know when to push, not this time. 5 pushes and 1 contraction baby boy was here, at 6:43!!!! That was easy! I pushed for 2 hours with Teydon. Holy cow that all went by way so fast, I'm still wrapping my head around being dilated to a 10 and here im holding my precious baby in my arms. There was no time to prepare. Baby Brother decided he was ready to meet us and wasnt waiting any longer and he didnt.
We text my mom that they could come back in, they were at the door before the text was received, my mom said she couldnt keep Teydon away any longer. She said she was gonna take Teyd to KFC but when they got to the doors to go outside Teydon said he wasnt going outside he had check on mom, so they hung out in the cafeteria for a couple min then he had to come up and wait in the waiting room. He was pretty worried about his mommy, so so sweet!!! When he came in the room and saw baby brother, mom, and dad he had the biggest grin on his face! The nurses were so good with him, they thought he was the cutest thing ever, which he is! One was listening to BB's heart while Teyd was holding him, she was so cute and let Teydon have a turn listening. He was already the best big brother!

38 Week Check Up
Dr. Appt: dilated to almost a 3 was given a 2+, atleast we are making some progress not just stuck at a 1 like with Teydon. Had my membranes stripped to see if we can get labor started or atleast get things moving along. Dr. said 60-70% of going into labor within the next 24-48 hrs. If nothing happens we are scheduled with the hospital to call in a 5 AM Monday June 24 to find out when to go in and get induced. Baby at the latest will be here JUNE 24! I was playing with Teydon on the floor the other night and my hips hurt, it was uncomfortable getting up and sitting down, hard to move with a big beach ball up my shirt, that I realized I am DONE being pregnant ready for more energy and to be able to play with my kiddo normally! Ive been a little concerned with being started early, is it healthy for the baby? is more time better? But then came to the conclusion that Im only being started 5 days before my due date so think were ok. Its a good thing I like being induced cause pretty sure Ill always have to be, that is...... if we have anymore kiddos. Nursery is done, Im done, ready to meet this little guy and finally give him a name!!

Seizure #7
Friday morning (June14) around 10 am Teydon had a seizure, lasting 2-2.5 min. He was playing outside with Dan, Dan heard the scream then brought him inside after it was over so he could rest. After cleaning him up, he had mud in his hands and all over him, he had the seizure in the flower bed, he feel asleep for 3+ hours. Once he was awake he was his normal self, it is always a huge relief to know that no damage was caused. The seizure itself doesn't cause any harm unless it lasts longer than 5 minutes, it's mainly where they happen that can cause harm. I'm pretty sure it causes more damage to mom and dad than to Teydon. Today we took Teyd to his nutritionist to see what caused this one and what we need to, can do. The test showed that he had another chemical relation to phosphate, found in fertilizers and pesticides. It wasn't necessarily something that he came in direct contact with it could've been something in the air, something with the wind that was used miles away. How do you control that!!!?? You can't. Teydon's body is allergic to phosphate and it attacks his nervous system, causing him to have a seizure. Others may get a migraine or pass out, he has a seizure. The timing of his reaction to it can either be immediate or if he just gets things in small doses it could take time to have a reaction, like his body can handle so much then once it hits that point it reacts with a seizure. Some things that we CAN do, if the wind blows take him inside, keep him away from phosphates (ex. Fertilizers in the store, away from plants at the store), no foods with a long shelf life-the preservatives they use have some of the same stuff as phosphate, stay way from foods with food dyes, leave doors and windows closed, get an air filter, no bug sprays and can't be around anyone using/spraying bug spray (use lavender instead), always wear shoes when he's outside- which is going to be my biggest challenge he hates wearing shoes and never leaves them on when outside. This is something that won't last forever eventually he'll grow out of it and his body will be able to defend, protect itself without a reaction. The drops that we are giving him, which went up a lot, are helping his body to be able to desensitize from the phosphate. And they help his body/brain to recover from the seizure and flush out the phosphate. Besides him having a reaction to phosphate his body is very healthy and strong, which I give credit to the drops. This winter when Dan and I got bad colds, sore throats he never got any of them, the only thing he got was the flu this spring. His immune system is very strong which I am so grateful for, we don't need sicknesses causing more problems. Hoping to have things under control and figured out SOON.
With a sick kid you start to question your actions as a parent, wonder what your doing wrong, how do I make this go away, what's the best route to go, why my little boy, the questions go on and on. I wish I could say that I have them all answered. The saying Heavenly Father doesn't send us anything that we can't handle has given me so much comfort, though it doesn't take away the pain it does help. I need to work on having more faith in myself, easier said than done but something I can defiantly work on. I love being a mom but it sure is hard sometimes, especially being responsible for their well being. I know something's I can not control, which I wish I could control everything, I just have to do what I feel right and the best that I can. I love my Teydor bug so so much and only want whats best for him, not always sure exactly what that is but doing what I can. This trial I think is definitely shaping me into a better, stronger, mother, not a perfect one but a better one. Life can be so hard, challenging, but at the same time so rewarding. Teydon has the best personality and is so so much fun, he brings so much joy to many around us. He makes the difficult things more worth it and easier, especially when you think about and concentrate on those good moments.
