Teydon Updates!

Teydon turned 8 months on the 1st, can't believe its been 8 months already. His first tooth on the bottom poked through on the 22nd of September, it is one SHARP little guy. His second one on the bottom poked trough yesterday and it looks like his top two will be coming in soon, his gums are really white. He stared crawling on the 5th of Oct. He had been really close for awhile now but just couldn't figure it out, he wanted to just walk, while holding our fingers of coarse. I wanted him to crawl before walking, part of developing so we tried to teach him but it wouldn't really help. He finally did it buy offering Dan's ring to him. He has taken off since then, I wanted him to crawl but now that he does I'm almost wishing he didn't he now can get into anything and everything! It is nice though cause now he can entertain himself even better. He will stand all by himself for a few seconds, and pulls himself up on things. He LOVES cords and drawers especially the ones he's not suppose to have. He hates to get hurt, tipping over, smashing fingers in drawers, etc. Loves when daddy comes home, he is totally a daddy's boy when he's home, he wants nothing to do with me when he's home. Hates to be told NO, he stops what he's doing looks at me and cries/whines. Still hates to ride in his car seat, which sucks if we need to go anywhere. He is a very good eater he pretty much will eat anything we give him. Some of his favorites gerber cheetos (don't remember what they are called but they remind me of cheetos, these ones are good for the baby though), bread, wheatables, mandarin oranges, lemonade, dried pears, doesn't really like peas, likes to eat what we are eating, and loves to drink out of cups. It seems like each week he has a new noise that he makes. He will copy you and thinks its pretty funny when you can make the same noise he does. I love to watch him grow and discover how things work. Love this little guy more and more everyday!

Teydon 7 month pictures & More!

We went and helped my mom move into her house over Labor day weekend. Makes me never wanna move, especially now that we have a kid way too much stuff. Teydon got his first hair cut on Set. 5, his hair was pretty crazy and getting long. We were at my moms so I asked her for help cutting his hair. He did ok for a couple min then wouldn't hold still and didn't like it. I noticed when we got home that it was uneven, so thought I'd try the clippers out. He did so GOOD he would just sit there and let me do it. I would let him hold the clippers, I didn't want him to get/be scared of it. He loved it. He has seen me cut Dan's hair so maybe that helped, who knows. I got Teydons pictures done on the 10th, they were so much fun and turned out SO CUTE! Dan was there for the 1st half, then had to go back to work. We found out who can make Teyd smile the best, after he left Melissa and I could not get Teydon to smile for the life of us. He is the best ignorer! It didn't matter how loud we yelled he would not look at us. :) I love this little boy so much!! We got some trees (6) 2 maples, 3 quaking aspens, and 1 Canadian choke cherry. We've planted 2 so far I will post some pictures when its all done.

AUGUST HAPPENINGS!

I can't believe summer is over. August went by so fast. Things we've been doing, if you can tell from Teydons farmers tan :) we've been in the sun mainly swimming! He loves to go down the slide with his dad. ( I dont dare take him down.) He makes a really big splashing mess in his tub so we've bathed him a couple times in the sink. We went to Cache County's fair, Teydon liked the animals, especially the calves he would touch their nose. We also went to the Rodeo with my dad and Sami, he mainly watched the horses I think cause they're always moving. It was my birthday on the 18th, we had a BBQ had family and friends over. I got lots of $$, I LOVE $$!! So Teydon and I did a lot of shopping, I dont think he's the biggest fan but he's gonna have to get use to it! He is now 7 months old, and on our scale he's almost 15 lbs. Some of his accomplishments sitting all by himself, rock/ lean forward until he falls on his face, then rolls to his back, probably wont be long before he's crawling, YIKES. He loves food, at the moment he is eating raspberries with his dad and doesnt have very good patience wants them NOW! A bad thing he's figured out he whines when he doesnt get something or if he loses what he was playing with. He loves my hair, as soon as I pick him up he searches for my hair and the other day I was trying to put him down for a nap and he wouldnt until I gave him some of my hair. Silly boy! He loves to go for walks in the stroller. He continues to bring so much joy and happiness to our home! Life would be so boring with out him!

Teydon's 6 month accomplishments: eating solids really good, some foods we've tried squash, green beans, bananas, carrots, pears applesauce, sweet potatoes, and peaches. I've been making my own baby food blending them up then freezing them in ice cube trays. Teydon will not eat my bananas or carrots but will the bottled. He loves to smile, laugh, and play with us. He recognizes who his parents are and his bottles. When he sees something he really likes he'll bounce and throw his arms all EXCITED! Everything goes in his mouth. He has found his ears and top of head. He loves to pull hair, he uses mine as his handle. He'll give me kisses, suck on my chin and cheeks. Dan's face is too sharp so he wont do it to him. He LOVES his daddy, Dan can get him to laugh the hardest!! He loves to be NAKED! He loves to be outside. He's a really good sport about anything we do! He loves bath time, he floods the kitchen with all his splashing! He gets so many compliments on his big blue eyes and crazy, fuzzy, spiky hair. He has stolen everyones hearts! He really likes little kids and girls, he's a big FLIRT already. He can sit up by himself, he'll still tip over every once in awhile but doing really good! He loves to stand up, a lot of the time when you try to get him to sit, he wont bend his knees. He's started to fight nap time, he use to just fuss a little but now he screams and gets really mad when you try to give him his binky. We definitely have our bad times but he has been a really good baby. Most the time he is happy and all smiles. He doesn't like cold food, his nose wiped, to sit still, to be alone, to wait, and night time; he is so much happier in the mornings.

Things we LOVE about Teydon Blake: His smile, LAUGH, eyes, soft skin, and personality. He brings so much JOY into our lives, we would be so lost without him. He is at a fun age, he is a very busy boy and he cant even walk yet, Im doomed.

BUSY JULY!!

Things we've been up to this July fireworks, demo. derby, camping, camping, and more camping, lots of swimming. Teydon is a really good sport with anything that we do, he loved the fireworks. He loves being outside and the camp fire, we've been everywhere campin Card Canyon, Fairfield Idaho with my mom, and Blackfoot Idaho with Dan's family. We've also been swimming everywhere Logan, Brigham with Dan's family; twice, Ogden with my cousin. Teydon's not gonna be scared of water thats for sure. It has been a very fun and eventful July!

In memory of our BEST FRIEND!

On Friday we went up Logan Canyon to Card Canyon to go camping with my mom, husband Sam, and my brother Colby. When we got up there we found that we forgot to get plates so Dan and I went back to town. When we returned back to camp we were told the BAD NEWS :(. Braxton (our puppy) had went down to the highway and was ran over. We were about half a mile away from the highway, we're not sure if he came looking for Dan and I or was chasing something and got lost. It was such a shock to us, we never thought or expected this to happen especially since we've been camping so many times before. They were able to get him off the road and bring him back to camp. He looked like he was sleeping, it was good to say our good bye. We buried him at our camp site, where he would want to be. It has made us realize how fast things can happen and has made us realize to not take anything for granted, live every moment to its fullest. It is crazy how much he meant to us. We miss him so much, he brought so much joy to our lives. The house and garage is so lonely. At least we have our memories. Some of the things he loved and would do: tennis balls, frisbee, rocks, hated baths and to get shaved, but he loved to play at the beach and in the river, he would play hide and seek with Dan, chase us around the island, scratch the door and/or whine when he was done with being outside, would stare at the counter and expect/wait for food to fall off, when told go to bed he would run down the stairs and sit in his mushroom chair, bones, his family, camping, snowballs, tubing, he would give you five; roll over; sit; lay. He was the best dog ever, yeah he had his moments when he wouldn't listen but for the most part he was a very good dog. He was like our kid, our first. He didn't even get to live his life he was only 3 yrs old, but I am glad we were doing something he loved. He is very missed, and will always have a place in our family.
