AUGUST HAPPENINGS!

I can't believe summer is over. August went by so fast. Things we've been doing, if you can tell from Teydons farmers tan :) we've been in the sun mainly swimming! He loves to go down the slide with his dad. ( I dont dare take him down.) He makes a really big splashing mess in his tub so we've bathed him a couple times in the sink. We went to Cache County's fair, Teydon liked the animals, especially the calves he would touch their nose. We also went to the Rodeo with my dad and Sami, he mainly watched the horses I think cause they're always moving. It was my birthday on the 18th, we had a BBQ had family and friends over. I got lots of $$, I LOVE $$!! So Teydon and I did a lot of shopping, I dont think he's the biggest fan but he's gonna have to get use to it! He is now 7 months old, and on our scale he's almost 15 lbs. Some of his accomplishments sitting all by himself, rock/ lean forward until he falls on his face, then rolls to his back, probably wont be long before he's crawling, YIKES. He loves food, at the moment he is eating raspberries with his dad and doesnt have very good patience wants them NOW! A bad thing he's figured out he whines when he doesnt get something or if he loses what he was playing with. He loves my hair, as soon as I pick him up he searches for my hair and the other day I was trying to put him down for a nap and he wouldnt until I gave him some of my hair. Silly boy! He loves to go for walks in the stroller. He continues to bring so much joy and happiness to our home! Life would be so boring with out him!

Teydon's 6 month accomplishments: eating solids really good, some foods we've tried squash, green beans, bananas, carrots, pears applesauce, sweet potatoes, and peaches. I've been making my own baby food blending them up then freezing them in ice cube trays. Teydon will not eat my bananas or carrots but will the bottled. He loves to smile, laugh, and play with us. He recognizes who his parents are and his bottles. When he sees something he really likes he'll bounce and throw his arms all EXCITED! Everything goes in his mouth. He has found his ears and top of head. He loves to pull hair, he uses mine as his handle. He'll give me kisses, suck on my chin and cheeks. Dan's face is too sharp so he wont do it to him. He LOVES his daddy, Dan can get him to laugh the hardest!! He loves to be NAKED! He loves to be outside. He's a really good sport about anything we do! He loves bath time, he floods the kitchen with all his splashing! He gets so many compliments on his big blue eyes and crazy, fuzzy, spiky hair. He has stolen everyones hearts! He really likes little kids and girls, he's a big FLIRT already. He can sit up by himself, he'll still tip over every once in awhile but doing really good! He loves to stand up, a lot of the time when you try to get him to sit, he wont bend his knees. He's started to fight nap time, he use to just fuss a little but now he screams and gets really mad when you try to give him his binky. We definitely have our bad times but he has been a really good baby. Most the time he is happy and all smiles. He doesn't like cold food, his nose wiped, to sit still, to be alone, to wait, and night time; he is so much happier in the mornings.

Things we LOVE about Teydon Blake: His smile, LAUGH, eyes, soft skin, and personality. He brings so much JOY into our lives, we would be so lost without him. He is at a fun age, he is a very busy boy and he cant even walk yet, Im doomed.

BUSY JULY!!

Things we've been up to this July fireworks, demo. derby, camping, camping, and more camping, lots of swimming. Teydon is a really good sport with anything that we do, he loved the fireworks. He loves being outside and the camp fire, we've been everywhere campin Card Canyon, Fairfield Idaho with my mom, and Blackfoot Idaho with Dan's family. We've also been swimming everywhere Logan, Brigham with Dan's family; twice, Ogden with my cousin. Teydon's not gonna be scared of water thats for sure. It has been a very fun and eventful July!

In memory of our BEST FRIEND!

On Friday we went up Logan Canyon to Card Canyon to go camping with my mom, husband Sam, and my brother Colby. When we got up there we found that we forgot to get plates so Dan and I went back to town. When we returned back to camp we were told the BAD NEWS :(. Braxton (our puppy) had went down to the highway and was ran over. We were about half a mile away from the highway, we're not sure if he came looking for Dan and I or was chasing something and got lost. It was such a shock to us, we never thought or expected this to happen especially since we've been camping so many times before. They were able to get him off the road and bring him back to camp. He looked like he was sleeping, it was good to say our good bye. We buried him at our camp site, where he would want to be. It has made us realize how fast things can happen and has made us realize to not take anything for granted, live every moment to its fullest. It is crazy how much he meant to us. We miss him so much, he brought so much joy to our lives. The house and garage is so lonely. At least we have our memories. Some of the things he loved and would do: tennis balls, frisbee, rocks, hated baths and to get shaved, but he loved to play at the beach and in the river, he would play hide and seek with Dan, chase us around the island, scratch the door and/or whine when he was done with being outside, would stare at the counter and expect/wait for food to fall off, when told go to bed he would run down the stairs and sit in his mushroom chair, bones, his family, camping, snowballs, tubing, he would give you five; roll over; sit; lay. He was the best dog ever, yeah he had his moments when he wouldn't listen but for the most part he was a very good dog. He was like our kid, our first. He didn't even get to live his life he was only 3 yrs old, but I am glad we were doing something he loved. He is very missed, and will always have a place in our family. Thanks Brax for all of the good memories!

I Found You!

Its been for a little over a week now that Teydon has found his feet. He loves to hold on to them, and to put his right one in his mouth, specifically the big toe. :) He is so close to rolling from his back to belly, just cant figure out how to get his bottom arm out. He has mastered rolling from belly to back. Rice cereal is a big hit, you can't feed it to him fast enough. He's not a big fan of carrots, he'll pull a funny face and shake his head. He's ok with applesauce for the 1st couple of bites then he pulls a face and shakes his head. I'm sure its just getting use to the different flavors. Last night we fed him strictly formula to see if it'd help him sleep longer, I've heard formula will keep them fuller longer than breast milk. He slept from 10:45-6:45, 8 hrs YEAH! I don't know that we'll do it every night due to the fact that formula is expensive but every now and then, a FULL nights rest is very much needed! He loves to sit in his walker and has figured out how to move around in it, not long distances but "Baby Steps." My Relief Society presidency came to visit yesterday and Teydon sure showed off his big blue eyes and sweet smile, they couldn't get enough of him. I think were going to have a heart breaker on our hands. :)

4 Months!!

  

Teydon is 4 months old, yesterday. We had his Dr. appt today and he is doing good. 11 lbs 14 oz-8%, 24 3/4 inches-50%, 16 3/4 inches head measurement-60 %. He is developing very well, has accomplished all the things the Dr. asked. Holding his head up, rolling over from belly to back, putting things in his mouth, pushing himself up when on stomach, focusing on people and objects, and follows them with his eyes. We can start feeding him rice cereal, which i think he is ready for cause if you hold him while eating/drinking he will watch/follow it go in and open his mouth. So well see how it goes tonight. It is so much fun to see him grow and learn new things, it has been the best 4 months of my life to bring a beautiful little boy into this world, to be his mom and to watch him grow. He has grown a place deep in my heart! I saw this quote on a picture frame and fell in love with it, When they placed you in my arms, you slipped into my heart. It is so true and crazy how something so little can make you love him so much! I am so excited to experience his next developing stages! 

Teydon's 1st NewMyer Family Camp!

  

We have a NewMyer family tradition to go camping over memorial weekend out to Snowville. We take our sleddin trailer and turn it into a camping trailer. It got pretty cold at nights, good thing we took a little space heater. We had Teydon set up-long sleeve onesies, fleece jammies, hat, wrapped in a blanket inside his wool bundle me, with LOTS of blankets on top and around him. He was probably warmer than we were! Teydon had a lot of fun and was passed around! :)He is stealing the hearts of everyone in our family! We have been very blessed with an awesome ittle guy! Its definitely a lot harder with a baby, good thing I'm not a single parent or I would never be able to do it.
